On November 13, the European Projects Office (OPE) held an informational conference on the REBECA mentoring program at the Móstoles Campus. REBECA is a FECYT initiative designed to support researchers in exploring professional opportunities beyond academia. The session was attended by Virginia RodrÃguez GarcÃa and Xavier Ronald Eekhout Chicharro, experts in professional development and research mobility initiatives.
The session began with a presentation of EURAXESS services, focused on supporting research careers and international mobility. Attendees then participated in a practical career exploration exercise, which allowed them to identify interests, skills, and possible paths outside academia. The meeting concluded with the presentation of the new edition of the REBECA 2025/26 program and an open question and answer session.
During the event, participating researchers were able to ask questions, hear testimonials, and discover useful tools for planning their professional future in non-academic sectors.
