On 21-22 November 2024, the Annual Research Conference (ARC), the European Commission’s flagship research forum bringing together leading economic researchers and policy makers, will take place in Ispra, Italy.
- Objective: to contribute to the understanding of the implications of current trends in global trade, including changes in the organisation of global value chains, and their impact on economic efficiency, capital allocation and incentives for innovation and investment, including in low-carbon technologies, as well as contributions analysing the costs and benefits of industrial policies aimed at the development of strategic sectors, including, inter alia, defence, energy, health and high technology, and their implications for the EU.
