The Centre for the Attraction and Internationalisation of Research Talent (CAIT) has engaged in networking at a European level by participating in the Annual Event organised by UnILiON on 27th November 2024 in Brussels.
UnILiON is an informal network of 56 Brussels-based university liaison offices representing more than 170 excellent universities across Europe and Japan. It acts as an arena of exchange where members share information, nurture collaboration and act as information multipliers towards the represented organisations.
The annual event serves three main purposes:
- Fostering the discussion on key issues between academia, policy-makers, and the wider Education and R&I sector;
- Positioning UnILiON and its members as a pro-active actor in the European higher education sector;
- Giving a platform for UnILiON member universities to establish a dialogue with EU policy-makers on topics relevant to the network.
This year’s event, focused on IA, has covered the following topics:
- Expert session: Exploring the future opportunities of AI.
- High-level dialogue: Building the European Research Area (ERA): what are the upcoming research policies on the European agenda.
- Public conference: How universities address Artificial Intelligence.
