The Vice-Rectorate for Research, Innovation and Transfer of the Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC) has received a visit from representatives of the Legal and Financial Department of the Athens University of Technology, a member of the EULIST network. This meeting is part of the URJC’s efforts to strengthen its internationalisation strategy by promoting collaboration with international partners.
During the meeting, the different services of the Vice-Rectorate presented their functions within the framework of this strategy. The European Projects Office highlighted the role of the Brussels Office, which acts as a link between the URJC and other European institutions. Among its main objectives are the creation of synergies with international partners, the promotion of initiatives in areas of interest to the URJC and support in the organisation of events and meetings of researchers in Brussels.
The recently inaugurated Centre for the Attraction and Internationalisation of Research Talent (CAIT), a key initiative to facilitate the integration of international research staff at the university, was also presented. Its functions include assistance in the homologation and validation of degrees, obtaining visas and work permits, signing contracts, and support in administrative procedures such as registration or obtaining the NIE and digital certificates. In addition, the CAIT offers help in the integration of researchers into the university community and their adaptation to the city, ensuring a smooth and efficient incorporation.
With these steps, the URJC reaffirms its commitment to internationalisation and the attraction of talent, consolidating its position as a benchmark in research collaboration and mobility at European level.
