ERC grant proposals will continue to be evaluated on the sole criterion of scientific excellence. ERC panels will primarily assess the innovative nature, ambition and feasibility of the research project.
For Starting, Consolidation and Advanced Grant calls, ERC panels will be able to accept a maximum of 44 proposals for step 2 of the evaluation.
Advanced Grants 2024 will be awarded as a single lump sum contribution for the whole project, for an amount approved by the ERC panel.
