CERV Launches 2025 Call for Proposals on Networks of Towns and European Citizen Engagement

22 Nov, 2024

The Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) programme has opened its call for 2025, aimed at promoting exchanges between citizens from different countries, especially through networks of cities. The aim is to provide practical experience of the richness and diversity of the European Union’s common heritage, fostering awareness that these elements are the basis for a shared future.

Proposals are sought from consortia led by entities capable of developing sustainable networks of cities, deepening and intensifying their cooperation, and outlining a long-term vision for future European integration.

Initiatives should focus on:

  • Bringing citizens together to discuss and share best practices.
  • Promoting awareness of EU citizenship rights, free movement of persons and common European democratic values and standards.
  • Identify ways to strengthen the European dimension and democratic legitimacy of EU decision-making, fostering free, open and healthy democratic governance.

The deadline for applications is 18 April 2025 at 17:00 CET.
