Canada has officially joined Horizon Europe, the European Union’s €95 billion research programme.
This agreement allows Canadian researchers to apply on an equal footing with Europeans and to coordinate joint projects, thus facilitating international collaboration.
The agreement only covers Pillar II of the programme, which focuses on industrial, social and environmental challenges, and excludes the European Research Council and the Council of Europe.
