The conference will feature a keynote address by European Commissioner for Health and Animal Welfare Oliver Várhelyi and the participation of representatives from EU regulatory authorities, the Council, the European Parliament, and leading European associations. The program will provide an opportunity to take stock of the latest developments and discuss the future regulatory framework following the proposed revision of the regulations on medical devices and in vitro diagnostic medical devices, adopted in December 2025.

The conference will feature three breakout sessions focusing on:

  • Enhanced predictability for conformity assessments: combining certainty with flexibility
  • Clinical evidence at EU level to support the regulatory framework: the key role of Expert Panels
