EIT RawMaterials has launched a new call to drive innovation in the supply chain of critical and advanced raw materials in Europe, aiming to promote sustainability and industrial independence.
The Critical Raw Materials Act (CRM Act) sets targets for 2030 that include:
– Increasing domestic mining to 10% of needs.
– Expanding processing capacity to 40% of demand.
– Accelerating recycling to 25% of end-of-life products.
– Diversifying supply sources so that no more than 65% of any material comes from a single external country.
Any organization eligible under the Horizon Europe program can submit proposals. It is not necessary to be a partner of EIT RawMaterials to apply.
Deadline for submissions:November 29, 2024.
