The Vice-Rectorate for Transfer and Scientific-Technological Structures, through the European Projects Office (OPE), organized a workshop on the European Research Council (ERC) calls for proposals aimed at research staff. The meeting took place in Lecture Hall III and was attended by representatives of the ERC National Contact Point of FECYT, Leticia Riaza, Ana MartÃnez, and Julio Marchamalo Amado; the principal investigator with an ongoing ERC project, Daniel GarcÃa González; and the program evaluator, Jesús Fernández-Huertas Moraga.
During the day, the new features of the ERC 2026-2027 were presented, the calls for proposals were reviewed, and a round table was held to share experiences and practical advice on preparing applications. Attendees were also able to participate in a workshop on the first steps in writing proposals and ask questions directly to the experts.
The workshop allowed participants to learn first-hand about the ERC application and evaluation process, as well as to clarify doubts and receive key recommendations for improving the competitiveness of their research projects at the European level.
