The call for applications for the Chips-JU programme ‘Configuration, Integration and Process Development’ HORIZON-Chips-2024-RIA-CPL-5 will open on 25 July.
It aims to establish a pilot line in Europe for Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs). This line will advance PIC technologies, extending the operational wavelengths for new applications in biomedical imaging, quantum computing and environmental sensing. It will serve as a bridge between research and industrial production, fostering collaboration between research institutions, SMEs and large companies, driving innovation and the commercialisation of these technologies, and strengthening Europe’s competitiveness and technological autonomy.
